I learned the value of photographs as keepsakes
at an early age.
As the youngest in a large family, I know my grandparents and
many aunts and uncles only from their photographs. Upon buying
my first camera in my early twenties, I began seeing in a whole
new way. The fascination with photography redirected my schooling
to learn all that I could about the craft. I have learned that
in a creative calling I will never stop learning either.
I
love being with people... Watching them having fun, watching them
doing all the unique things that they do. I like to be in their
environment, a place that has the most meaning to them. Capturing
that on film has given me great satisfaction over the years.
When
I photographed my first wedding. I did a wonderful job, grand
enough to present to a wedding studio, who then hired me to photograph
weddings for them. I did this for years, doing hundreds and hundreds
of weddings, sharpening the saw, as they say. From that first
wedding the candid documentary style was prevalent... the years
spent working with traditional studios have helped me refine other
aspects of wedding photography.
Now I deliver just what the bride and groom desire, the best of
both styles.
In
talking to you both about your plans and incorporating some of
your personal style, we can make wonderful memories of your very
special day.
